– Israel’s Air Force Expansion Plan:

Israel’s Ministers approved a plan to acquire new F-35 and F-15 jets from Lockheed Martin and Boeing, potentially leading to a significant expansion of the country’s air force. The force intends to receive four new fighter jet squadrons over the next decade, alongside the retirement of older F-15s and F-16s.

– Finland Rejects Ban on Arms Trade with Israel:

Finland’s parliament recently dismissed a civilian-led initiative to ban arms trade with Israel. Despite the proposal’s aim to bring more humanitarian considerations into Finland’s arms trade policy, particularly regarding the Gaza conflict, parliament members voted overwhelmingly against the ban.

– Accusations of Threats by Israel and Allies:

In a statement, Turkish analyst Yaiji accused Israel, the U.S., and other Middle Eastern countries of systematically threatening Turkey. He claimed western media portrayed Turkish President Erdogan as a threat to Israel, hinting at a future confrontation.

– Rape Case Suspect Returns to Israel:

The suspect in the rape case involving Shai Lee Atari and Naama Shahar is returning to Israel willingly for questioning, according to his lawyer, Moshe Weiss. Atari proposes imposing a travel ban and passport confiscation following the investigation to ensure the suspect cannot flee abroad.

– Iran Proposes New Deal to End War:

Iran claims it sent a response to the U.S. via Pakistan over a recent proposal to end the war, which is now being examined. The proposal includes a ceasefire, a pause in uranium enrichment, and the creation of a regional security framework. However, Israel casts doubts due to Iran refusing to abandon enriched uranium.

– Israel’s Iron Dome Setup in UAE:

Israel has activated its Iron Dome air defense system in the UAE, reflecting the deepening security cooperation between the two countries. Part of the Abraham Accords’ normalization agreements signed in 2020, this move portrays the UAE pursuing its interests, even when deviating from regional treaties.

– Resolving Palestinian Problem Central to Relations with Muslim Countries:

For Israel to improve relations with Muslim countries, it must resolve the Palestinian problem. Solutions providing Palestinians with a political horizon may persuade Saudi Arabia and other Muslim states to side with Israel.

– Hezbollah Suffers Losses Against Israel:

Hezbollah’s gambles have led to heavy losses against Israel. Opposition towards the organization grows politically in Beirut, with the Lebanese Health Ministry reporting over 2,600 deaths attributed to Hezbollah since March. In turn, Israel continues to consolidate its stronghold along a security strip.
