– Israeli-Lebanese Ceasefire Initiated:

France has lauded the recently announced ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, dubbing it a “necessary and blessed first step” to quell weeks of rampant strife that has caused civilian casualties in both nations. The French foreign ministry further commended Lebanon’s audacious decision to proceed with ground-breaking talks with Israel.

– Kuwaiti Man’s Failed Embassy Attack:

Meanwhile, Abdallah Al-Badri, a Kuwaiti national guilty of planning a terrorist attack on the Israeli embassy in London, reportedly entered the UK on two separate occasions using a boat from France. The failed attack occurred last year after Al-Badri’s plea for asylum was declined.

Lebanon is reportedly seeking a ceasefire with Israel despite ongoing complications posed by Hezbollah. Upcoming negotiations could involve calls for Lebanon to disarm Hezbollah guerrillas.

– Trump Announces Official Ceasefire:

President Donald Trump formally announced a ten-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, effective from midnight. Despite the declared ceasefire, unverified reports suggested Israeli forces targeted sites in Lebanon overnight.
