– Possible Military Operation by Israel:

European officials are worried about potential Israeli military action in Iran within the next year, a fear prompted partly by perceived missteps by Iran’s leadership. Meanwhile, the US is concerned that such a move could pose a serious challenge to its Gaza reconstruction plans. Tensions are heightened further by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards’ warning of a robust response to any attack, and Hezbollah’s ongoing threats to Israel from its positions in southern Lebanon.

– Israel Shifts PR Approach:

In a bid to shape its global image, Israel is promoting a “first voice” strategy where Israelis, including civilians and war veterans, share their individual stories. Provisions have been made available for influencers, including access to advanced production and editing tools. Alongside this, delegations of Israelis personally affected by conflict have been delegated to narrate their experiences to US audiences. Israel is also set to adopt a Press Secretary model to enhance communication clarity.

– Speakers Split on Possible Netanyahu Pardon:

Israel’s Energy Minister, Eli Cohen, voiced support for the pardon of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by President Isaac Herzog. Cohen urged a conclusion to the lengthy legal journey and discussed other issues such as water supply services and military enrollment for the ultra-Orthodox Jews. In contrast, Deputy Foreign Minister Sharon Haskel spoke against the idea, terming it a “media trick” to divert attention from pressing issues.

– Continued Incitement Found in Palestinian Textbooks:

International research institute, IMPACT-se, reportedly identified continued instances of incitement and violence glorification in Palestinian textbooks for 2025-2026, contrary to explicit reform promises made by Palestinian Authority chairman, Mahmoud Abbas. The claim is founded on an analysis of study materials across a variety of subjects and age groups. The findings suggest that encouragement towards violence is still prevalent in the curriculum, including in scientific subjects.

– Netanyahu’s Legal Challenges and Public Perception:

The Israeli Prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has faced numerous legal challenges and widespread public protest following the recent elections. Despite accusations of exploiting the judicial system for political gains, Netanyahu has vowed not to interfere in his trial process. Critics questioning Netanyahu’s commitment to justice have additionally suspect him of attempting to disband the judiciary. In response, Netanyahu insists on the trial’s completion and calls for national unity, a proposition met with skepticism by some.
