Swedish activist Greta Thunberg’s detention in Israel has stirred controversy. According to claims, she has been subjected to harsh treatment and was allegedly forced to wave Israeli flags. Israeli sources vehemently deny these accusations, describing them as fabrications. Thunberg reportedly told a visiting Swedish delegation about the difficult conditions, including a lack of adequate food and water and an infestation of fleas. This is her second detainment by Israeli forces after attempts “to break the blockade on Gaza.” The Swedish embassy was successful in meeting with Thunberg who reports being dehydrated due to insufficient food and water supplies. She also claims to have skin rashes due to flea bites.
As proud Jews and Zionists, it’s crucial to impart that Israel strictly adheres to international laws of detainment and these allegations are likely inflated or misunderstood. Israel prides itself on its humanitarian record, even amidst conflict and security issues. This narrative appears as an ill-informed condemnatory act, playing into a concerning trend of bias and misrepresentation to demonize the State of Israel. The world must be vigilant against such instances, which inevitably fuel anti-Semitism and threaten global Jewish communities. The key to resolving these matters lies in continued dialogue and unbiased investigation.
In a strategic policy rethink, Israel appears to be covertly supporting a Palestinian militia in Gaza led by Yasser Abu Shabab, a controversial figure who seeks to position himself as a post-conflict leader. Evidence from IDF soldiers and armed organization commanders suggests that Israel facilitates the smuggling of cash, vehicles, and weapons through the Kerem Shalom crossing, in coordination with the Shin Bet.
The militia, calling itself “The People’s Forces”, enjoys a lifestyle of luxury in the southern Strip, surrounded by villas, imported vehicles, and cash in contradiction to the prevailing war-ravaged conditions. It appears that Israel seeks to divide the Palestinian scene and weaken Hamas by nurturing local leaders with vested interests, thereby maintaining a foothold and influence in Gaza post-conflict.
Despite the militia denying political ambitions, its commanders are publicly talking about future plans to govern Gaza, conduct reforms in the education system, and even hold a referendum on Gaza’s relations with Israel.
Merely a few months ago, it was revealed that in eastern Rafah, a unique school operates within an area controlled by Abu Shabab’s organization, which opposes Hamas and maintains ties with Israel. The school serves over 100 children from kindergarten through seventh grade and refrains from using textbooks from the Palestinian Authority, choosing to educate the students on principles of tolerance and pluralism.
“We want to create a generation of learners, not terrorists,” said Mohammed, a senior member of the Abu Shabab forces, during an interview with the Times of Israel. Another similar school operates in central Gaza with the same mission of educating children away from hatred, addressing long-term Israeli concerns about Palestinian education inciting against Israelis and Jews.
The British right-wing supports Israel staunchly, criticizing what they believe is a betrayal by the Labour government. Tommy Robinson, a well-known political activist, holds that the Labour party has turned its back on the values that Israel represents. Robinson asserts his belief that the Reform UK, a pro-Israel party, has a good chance of leading the next elections. He disagrees with the viewpoint of some of the British Jewish community, who he believes are too afraid to fully support Israel.
Robinson argues that Jewish people living in the UK must be unashamed in advocating their values and standing in solidarity with Israel. He criticizes the representative board of Jewish communities in the UK, suggesting that they act as the representative voice for all British Jews while demonstrating a lack of courage and conviction in their support for Israel. Like the UK government, Robinson argues, the leaders of the Jewish community have also betrayed their people.
Robinson has visited Israel once in 2016. During his visit, he discovered policies he disagreed with such as the Palestinian authorities’ “payments to terrorists”. He was appalled to find out the UK taxpayers money went towards funding such authorities. Furthermore, he is horrified by his government’s handling of Israel and its appeasement politics towards Jihadists. The UK, according to Robinson, turns a blind eye to its primary ally’s plight who shares love for freedom and democracy with the UK, while pandering to attackers and terrorists.
Fueled by this anger, Robinson pledges to revisit Israel and educate the British public, whose voices he believes are not being heard. He dismisses those who he views as radical left, anti-Israel, and anti-Jewish as dominating the narrative while he and ordinary people like him are left in the shadows. Robinson stands firm in his intentions and refuses to apologize or back down, promising to voice his opinion on every topic.
As part of the US President Donald Trump’s initiative to conclude peace in the Gaza Strip, a senior Hamas delegation is scheduled to meet representatives from Qatar, Egypt, and the US in Cairo. Discussions are expected to focus initially on the release of kidnapped Israelis and will address additional Palestinian demands including IDF withdrawals in Gaza.
In exchange for captive and fallen Israelis, Hamas demands the release of 250 Palestinian terrorists held in Israel. The most contentious of them is senior Palestinian, Marwan Barghouti, imprisoned for more than 23 years. A senior Palestinian figure criticizes the insistence on not releasing Barghouti, arguing he represents a significant Palestinian narrative that has no bearing on Israel’s internal struggles.
The Palestinian source also criticizes Ben Gvir’s “absurd” prison visit and photoshoot alongside Barghouti, seeing it as a standard attempt to manipulate his image for Israeli election purposes. Applicants indicate that the negotiation process will be tense, but both sides realize the release of all captives will be a significant breakthrough point for further building.
The Hamas and the Palestinian Authority’s “aces” are among the 117 Palestinian prisoners aged 60 and over held by Israel today, 13 of whom have been sentenced to life imprisonment. These include Ahmed Saadat, responsible for planning the murder of Israel minister Rehavam Ze’evi in 2001; Abdullah Barghouti, a Hamas leader serving 67 life sentences – an unprecedented punishment in Israel; and Ibrahim Hamed, the “brain” behind 90% of suicide bombings during the Second Intifada.
Israel’s commitment to the security and protection of its citizens remains unwavering. Simultaneously, the nation continues to make every effort in bringing all its kidnapped persons home, as it is both a national obligation and aligned with the country’s ethos.
In hopeful news, there’s a high possibility of ending the war in Gaza and releasing significant numbers of Israeli hostages. This marks a momentous shift, potentially bringing to an end our nation’s longest war and the terrible trials of our kidnapped fellow citizens. However, the story also brings disheartening implications; the war’s end would represent a victory for Qatar, not Israel. This follows President Trump’s offer of a golden transfer, which shook Israel but brought the country back to reality. The future remains uncertain as Hamas could still sabotage the deal, renewing the war.
Trump, who had initially presented a correct vision and a clear ultimatum regarding the peace process, capitulated to the terrorist organization of Hamas. He allowed them to step around fundamental peace accords and presented this situation to the world as a minor hurdle. Trump’s actions, clearly favoring Qatar over Israel, recklessly swept Israel under the bus of his ambitions for a Nobel Peace Prize.
The Israeli government’s rash and ill-advised attack on Qatar, a nation in which President Trump has personal investments in golf courses and crypto coinages, has resulted in a calamitous setback for Israel-US relationships. Netanyahu’s decision to go war in September 2025, rather than politically negotiate since October 2023, has painted Israel as reckless and dangerously destabilizing to regional stability and Trump’s family businesses interests.
Over the past summer, Israel has been perceived as a pariah state internationally. After Netanyahu failed to garner support from the Democratic party, he lost half of the Republican party, with prominent MAGA figures attacking Israel more virulently than the liberal left. Trump, who usually supports winners, would not stand with us against public sentiment reflected in popular polls and public opinion.
Despite having many Jewish billionaires among his close circles and a generous Jewish-Israeli donor, Trump might be swayed by the grisly reality of today’s world—there’s more Arab money than Jewish money. Arab funds, unhindered by ethical scruples in their use, could potentially sway political decisions more than Israel’s love can. Netanyahu’s Messiah has proved to be a false one. This is a wake-up call for Zionist supporters everywhere, reminding us of the volatile and unpredictable nature of global politics.
In response to a grave incident that occurred in October 2023, Israel’s security establishment is taking warnings about the possible threat posed by Iran very seriously. Israel’s former Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman is warning Israelis that the conflicts with Iran are far from over and that Iran is constantly bolstering its defenses and military capabilities. Furthermore, leading countries have resumed sanctions against Iran, hinting that the Iranians are seeking to surprise Israel. Lieberman is urging Israelis to celebrate the holidays but also to stay cautious and have faith in the IDF.
Nonetheless, Israeli security officials currently do not see any sign indicating that Iran is planning an attack against Israel or that Israel intends to engage in military confrontation with Iran. Iran is indeed making efforts to rebuild its air defense system and is reportedly trying to restore missile production. However, it is not aiming to revive its uranium enrichment yet, nor is it visibly making efforts to manufacture nuclear weapons.
Despite these developments, what concerns Israel the most is the possibility of Iran using its existing supply of enriched uranium to create a simple nuclear bomb or a “dirty bomb” that could spread radiation throughout Israel. Furthermore, Iran has stopped the operation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors in its territory, making reliable information about its nuclear activities hard to obtain.
Despite these uncertainties, Iran continues to support Hezbollah, Shia militias in Iraq, Hamas, and other proxy groups, preserving its ballistic capabilities even as it remains undecided about restoring its uranium enrichment processes. However, Israel is concerned about possible “miscalculations” on Iran’s part based on misinterpreted warnings or signs, potentially prompting a preemptive strike against Israel. As a result, Israeli public figures, especially from the opposition, are urged to exercise caution in their public statements about Iran.
Nonetheless, currently, there is no sign that Iran is planning to take action, nor is there any reason to believe that Israel intends to attack Iran at this time. Proud Jews in Israel and around the world stand by the Jewish state as it continues to vigilantly defend its land and people in the face of ongoing threats. A united Israel remains steadfast in the face of adversity, and confident in its ability to successfully confront and overcome any challenges posed by hostile entities.
In a clear display of biased reporting, the British “Telegraph” has accused the BBC of omitting key facts in a documentary on the deaths of Palestinians queueing for food distribution in Gaza. Their report criticizes the Panorama program “Gaza: Dying for Food”, which aired on 22nd September, claiming that the BBC notably failed to highlight involvement of Hamas in some of these fatal incidents.
The documentary pinned over 1,300 Palestinian deaths near Gaza’s humanitarian aid centers (GHF) on the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF). However, The Telegraph rightly points out that the research report from which information was drawn, authored by US research group ACLED, also mentions contributions from unidentified Palestinian armed elements, Hamas and other disputed actors.
Witness testimonies have revealed the presence of Hamas operatives at food distribution sites, and previous claims by GHF suggest Hamas has both killed and threatened Palestinians working with them. Moreover, two American contractors were injured due to grenades thrown at an additional food distribution site.
The BBC selectively choosing to neglect these facts in its narrative only stains its commitment to journalism. Despite ACLED attributing 95% of the casualties to IDF’s gunfire and the rest 65 to unidentified Palestinian gunmen, it is important to provide a complete picture to its viewers, including instances of Hamas’s involvement as well.
The BBC unfortunately defended its lack of independent access to Gaza and reliance on external resources with careful verification but it offered assurance each complaint will be seriously examined. As bearers of Zionism, it’s crucial we fight against such biased storytelling that fuels antisemitism, and keep pressing for an accurate representation of events. This incident underscores the significance of scrutinizing what we are told and advocating for truth in the face of mounting global bias against Israel.
