– Israelis Worried About American Support:

A recent poll from the Ruderman Family Foundation has found that approximately 80% of Israelis are worried about a decline in support for Israel among the American public. This trend is apparent within both major U.S political parties, with the most significant drop in support from younger Republicans, highlighting a shift in public opinion following the Gaza war.

– Protests Unsettling Iran:

Daily protests are escalating in Iran, involving cities previously not involved and causing disarray among government forces. Amidst this unrest, Israel has reportedly communicated that it does not plan to exploit Iran’s internal situation to execute an attack, attempting to deescalate any potential conflict.

– Progress in Disarming Lebanon:

The Lebanese military has recently declared southern Lebanon free of weaponry, meeting one of the requirements in a ceasefire agreement. Israeli officials, while appreciative of the progress, remain skeptical about the sufficiency of the disarmament.

– Gaza and Lebanon: Ongoing Threats:

The Israeli military reported a failed rocket launch from Gaza, which landed within Hamas-controlled territory – an incident that has led to targeted attacks and increased tension in the region. Despite this, Lebanon and Gaza remain greater threats in Israel’s defense perspective.

– Responses to Iran’s Internal Unrest:

Even as civil unrest continues within Iran, military reporter Kobi Finkler suggests that Israel is unlikely to attack. Instead, the focus seems to be shifting towards American military activity in the Middle East.

– Return Denied For Jewish-American Researcher in Israel:

Finally, a Jewish-American researcher residing in Israel under the Law of Return was barred entry after a vacation. Denial of entry was based on allegations related to “anarchist activity,” a claim made without granting the researcher their legally required hearing.

– Israel-Syria: Stepping Towards a New Security Agreement:

After talks stalled for two months, Israel and Syria have agreed to speed up negotiations for a new security agreement. The proposed plan includes establishing a joint operations center in Jordan, stage for negotiations on disarmament, withdrawal of forces, and improvement of trade relations.
