– Israel Returns Body of Aid Truck Driver-Terrorist to Jordan:
Late last night, Israeli authorities returned the body of Abd al-Mutaleb al-Qaisi, an aid truck driver-turned-terrorist, to Jordan via the Allenby Bridge. Al-Qaisi, 57, began working as an aid driver just three months before secretly partaking in a still undisclosed act of terrorism. His body will be buried in Wadi al-Shta, as revealed by his son, Yusef Abd al-Mutaleb al-Qaisi, via Facebook.
– Israel’s Brand Ranking Takes a Hit:
In an international index, Israel ranked last for the second consecutive year due to rising global criticism aimed not only at its government but also its citizens, thereby affecting the perception of the “Made in Israel” brand. Moti Sharf, who founded the project measuring these rankings, warns that this negative perception could severely damage Israel’s economy by leading to a de facto boycott of its goods and services.
– Implications of Israel’s Brand Reputation Devaluation:
The world penalizes countries involved in conflicts, according to Sharf, which contributes to Israel’s low standing in the brand reputation index. Sharf emphasized that Israel’s attempts to justify its position in various conflicts will not better its ranking, as such conflicts inherently decrease its brand value.
– Iran’s Increased Missile Stockpile Poses Threat to Israel:
Israel could face significant damage due to a projected rise in Iran’s missile capacity. The shockwaves caused by these ballistic missiles, rather than the blast material, pose a significant threat. Manufacturing enough interceptors to combat this potential threat presents economic difficulties for Israel, which aims to deter Iran by promising a considerable response in the event of any future attack.
– Global Nation Brands Index Places Israel Last:
For the second year running, Israel has been ranked last in the 2025 global Nation Brands Index (NBI). The NBI survey examines global public perceptions towards different countries across six major categories: policy, culture, society, exports, immigration, and tourism. Israel’s sharpest decline was noted in the human sentiment, Generation Z affection, and Israeli product exports categories.
– Emergence of Hamas-Hezbollah Internal Crisis:
Raazi Hamad, a senior figure in Hamas, claims that 70% of Hezbollah’s active members are now collaborating with Israel. Allegedly, this development emerged from a deep internal crisis within Hezbollah, leading to debates regarding disarmament and the potential for peace with Israel. Despite numerous breaches, only a small fraction of these violations have been enforced by the Israeli Defence Force.
