– Return of Major General Asaf Hameem:

Major General Asaf Hameem, a high-ranking IDF officer who was taken post-mortem by Hamas, has been returned to Israel from Gaza after 758 days. Hameem, known for his humility and dedication to his troops, was welcomed back with a mix of sorrow and relief.

– Release of Rabin’s 1977 Recordings:

A set of recordings from 1977, featuring former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, has been unveiled by the IDF Archives in the Defense Ministry. Rabin, at the end of his first term, discusses the challenging dynamics of the Israeli-Arab conflict, the importance of US relations, and the need for a stronger ground army.

– TV Show Renewals:

Several popular TV series have announced new seasons, including Disney+’s comedy “מבוגרים”, legal drama “מוריד הגשם”, and the eccentric mystery “רק רוצחים בבניין” starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. Fans can also look forward to two more seasons of Mike Judge’s esteemed animated comedy “המלך היל”.

– Houthis Threaten Israel:

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have issued a warning of potential conflict with Israel, even without support from other Arab nations. The spokesperson, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, reinforced the group’s ties to Iran and threatened any vessel related to Israel or countries attacking Yemen as targets.

– Hezbollah’s Activities in South Lebanon:

In response to the resurgence of Hezbollah’s activities in South Lebanon, Israel has amplified its air strikes against Hezbollah operatives. Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz calls on Lebanon’s government to disarm Hezbollah, while the US advocates for negotiation to avoid escalating tensions.

– Hamas Violating Ceasefire Agreement:

Despite a ceasefire agreement with the US, Hamas has delayed the return of detained individuals to Israel. While Israel cannot react without risking ceasefire, Israeli officials hope the US will eventually support potential sanctions against Hamas.

Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs, Ron Dermer, drew comparisons between Syria’s Ahmad al-Joulani and Sacha Baron Cohen’s cinematic character. Dermer highlighted Israel’s contributions in several areas, including intelligence and cyber defense, and emphasized the international nature of the disarmament agreement with Hamas.
