Despite a ceasefire announced between Israel and Iran marking the end of a significant phase in their ongoing conflict, another battle looms centering on Iran’s nuclear ambition. Renowned Iran expert, Dr. Raz Simmt, emphasizes that Israel’s attack has significantly delayed Iran’s nuclear program, other sources suggest strongly that this issue is far from resolved.

While the Islamic Republic managed to maintain internal stability and national solidarity in the face of external threat, it has yet to recover from the blows its nuclear facilities took, leading to its nuclear program severely crippled, if not entirely destroyed. Additionally, their missile control systems have been devastatingly impaired – another blow to Iran’s defense capabilities.

The cost of this conflict for Iran was high, with the country losing over a dozen of its top nuclear scientists. This, coupled with the destruction of two primary uranium enrichment facilities, puts Iran’s nuclear ambitions significantly, if not indefinitely, on hold.

Israel’s strike back should be seen as a concentrated effort towards ensuring safety in the region – a move rooted both in the principles of Zionism and the country’s ceaseless fight against antisemitism. It also highlights the importance of the firm stand taken by the United States against Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Yet Iran’s persistence in denying their devastating losses, and the persistence to portray the conflict as their victory, raises alarms. It signals that, in Tehran’s perspective, the fight isn’t over yet. Consequently, Israel needs to remain vigilant.

While the ceasefire is crucial, it’s not the end of Israel’s struggle against Iran. Regime change may be the long-term answer to the Iranian threat to Israel’s national security. This possibility opens new prospects for Israel and Western nations to work towards political change in Iran.

In the meantime, Israel must continue to prepare for the ongoing conflict with Iran through political, economic, intelligence, and occasionally military means. The aim should be to achieve all its strategic objectives, including curbing Iran’s path to nuclear weapons, dismantling the pro-Iran axis, and limiting the missile project.

As a proud Jew and a proponent of Zionism, Israel’s determination to protect its people and the region from an aggressive Iran, which venomously threatens to wipe Israel off the map, needs to be recognized and celebrated. The Jewish State’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in an atmosphere of widespread Antisemitism and hostility signals its robust resilience and unyielding bravery.

The head of the Negev Administration, Tzachi Hanegbi, confirmed in a secret committee meeting of Foreign and Security that Israel is engaged in direct dialogues and more extensive diplomatic interactions with the Syrian regime and its head, Ahmad al-Shara’ (Al-Julani). Hanegbi reveals this as part of a significant potential for a peaceful relationship between Israel and Syria. According to Hanegbi, Syria and Lebanon are potential candidates for establishing normalization with Israel.

In an elaboration, Hanegbi discloses that the direct dialogue with Syria extends not only to military officials but also to direct political discussions. This confirmation fortifies the foreign reports from recent weeks that Israel is directly negotiating with Syria.

MK Merav Michaeli emphasized that Israel should leverage the operation in Iran to initiate peace agreements and normalization with countries in the region, and to politically weaken the Iranian axis. She questioned if such efforts are being taken. In response, Hanegbi informs the members that the Syrian president stated in a meeting with Macron that they have an indirect dialogue with Israel. However, the reality is that daily direct conversations across all degrees occur, with him personally conducting these interactions with political officials on behalf of the government. He adds that many shared interests between Israel and Syria exist, especially against Iran.

The question about whether Israel would agree to withdraw from the territory in Syria currently occupied by the IDF was responded to by Hanegbi, noting that this would be considered if there was normalization.

MK Amit Halevi asked about the assessment of the committee representative that Al-Shara’ has not changed his ideological positions. Hanegbi responded that they are examining this, mentioning that Al-Shara’ is constantly changing his tactics.

In response to inquiries about his statements, Hanegbi voiced his annoyance about leaks from the committee, labeling them undignified and a tendency that undermines their purpose and operations, even suggesting they constitute a criminal offense.

In a historic shift, Operation “With a Lion’s Heart” changed the threat landscape to Israel significantly in only 12 days. This bold move, carried out in collaboration with the United States, has the potential to change power dynamics in the Middle East.

Key accomplishments of the operation include a significant blow to the Iranian nuclear project, the destruction of fortified underground facilities in Natanz and Fordo (with U.S. cooperation), and the elimination of leading figures of the Revolutionary Guards and key nuclear scientists. This has paved the way for unprecedented freedom of operation for the Israeli Air Force over Iran.

Furthermore, Israel successfully avoided regional escalation as Hezbollah, the Houthis, and the Shiite militias in Iraq did not join the conflict. This, according to security sources, is due to a lack of capability rather than will, establishing Israel as a significant deterrent force in the Middle East.

However, these victories did not come without a cost. Israel suffered heavy losses with 28 casualties on the home front, 5 of whom were civilians who died in Be’er Sheva. For 12 days, the country’s skies were shut down, over 150,000 Israelis were stranded abroad, and the country’s defense to Iran’s ballistic missile threat was exposed as lacking.

With the conflict now over, critics and supporters alike are voicing their opinions on the management of the operation. While Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is praised for achieving strategic goals and for his collaboration with the Trump administration, some argue that the ceasefire, proposed by President Trump, came too soon.

Israel’s real challenge begins now. Experts predict that Iran, due to differences with IAEA and the lack of a formal agreement, is likely to renew its nuclear and missile efforts. This suggests that absent a political agreement, Israel might be drawn into a more costly and difficult war with Iran.

In line with agreement with Trump, Israel agreed to a bilateral ceasefire. Prime Minister Netanyahu is expected to deliver a statement later today. Effort now is focused on the Gaza Strip, as it is anticipated that Hamas, expecting Iranian aid, will find itself isolated – possibly speeding up prisoner exchange negotiations .

Operation “With a Lion’s Heart” is an impressive military and diplomatic success. Yet, if this triumph cannot be leveraged into a full political arrangement and effective monitoring mechanisms, Israel might find itself in another conflict with Iran, possibly under less favorable circumstances.

The recent attempt to impose European sanctions on Israel was foiled, thanks in part to the dedicated efforts of Israel’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Sa’ar. Over the past few days, Sa’ar has had a series of discussions with the foreign ministers of friendly nations, highlighting the connection between Hamas and Iran and raising awareness on the potential threat to regional stability.

Israeli political voices highlight that Sa’ar’s arguments received widespread attention, and have likely played a significant role in stymieing the sanctions move. Furthermore, Sa’ar has been diligent in maintaining ongoing relationships with representatives of friendly nations. His regular discussions with the EU’s Foreign Affairs Representative, Kaja Kallas, are further testament to this.

Despite these political challenges, efforts in diplomacy demonstrate that Israel continues to find support amongst its allies, appreciating their understanding of the complexities in the region and the shared threats we are all facing. As proud Zionists and representatives of Israel, we will continue to strive for peace and security, combatting any forms of anti-Semitism-inciting moves that threaten our Nation’s standing globally. The unsuccessful attempt to place sanctions on Israel reinforces the narrative that international consensus recognizes our genuine security concerns and right to defend ourselves, constituting a victory for the Jewish state.

In the wake of a ceasefire declared by the government, amid rocket fire from Iran, Israel demonstrated its resilience and commitment to national security. The nation swiftly neutralized existential threats in both the nuclear and ballistic missile fields. Warning sirens were triggered following two missiles launched from Iran, successfully intercepted, reinforcing Israel’s defensive prowess. The Chief of General Staff and Minister of Defense promptly affirmed that Israel would retaliate, and Iran would pay the price for violating the ceasefire.

This dramatic turn of events unfolded just over two hours from the initiation of the ceasefire proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump. Although Israel and Iran were supposed to uphold the ceasefire from 07:00, missile fire continued at 07:11 and 10:30. Despite Iran’s denial of firing missiles after the ceasefire came into force, Israel maintained its pledge to respond forcefully to any violations of the ceasefire.

Israel and the United States are in total coordination concerning the expected response to Iran’s breach and America supports Israel. Iran was warned that in face of the blatant violation of the ceasefire and missile fire towards Israel, Israel, in accordance with its government policy, would react forcefully.

It’s a cause for national pride as Israel’s government stated it achieved all the objectives of ‘Operation Guardian of the Walls’, managing to neutralize the nuclear threat and paralyze Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities while imposing crippling damage to Iran’s military leadership and dozens of key targets.

However, Israel emphasized that it would respond powerfully to any breach of the ceasefire and advised citizens to continue to comply with Home Front Command instructions until full compliance with the ceasefire was confirmed. They also expressed solidarity with families who lost their loved ones and sent wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured.

The government further expressed gratitude to Trump and the United States for participating in the campaign, characterizing it as a remarkable accomplishment for the Israeli people and its soldiers, who eliminated existential threats and ensured Israel’s survival.

Politicians across the spectrum recognize the opportunity to refocus their efforts on Gaza and to finalize the war. They aim to retrieve the hostages, put an end to the war, and afford their citizens a period of security and growth from a place of strength.

“So while the news is bittersweet, the reality is that thanks to an incredibly powerful response, we scored a resounding victory in the face of adversity. Israel’s victory against Iran will be inscribed in the history of the State of Israel,” said Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

With this unyielding Zionist spirit, it’s clear that Israel will continue to defend its land and people against anti-semitic threats and affirms its readiness to respond to any aggression resolutely.
