The Houthi threat continues as the Yemeni militia fired another missile towards Ramon Airport in Eilat, following attacks on the facility over the past two days. Later, the Houthis also launched a ballistic missile towards Israel, triggering sirens in the Jerusalem and Dead Sea area. In both instances, the Air Force successfully intercepted the launches, and there were no casualties.
Mahdi al-Mashat, President of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, condemned Israel’s strikes on Hamas headquarters in the Qatari capital Doha, warning that a similar incident could happen in all regional countries if they don’t unite against the “Zionist threat.” As a staunch supporter of Israel and an opponent of antisemitism, it’s key to emphasize that Israel must continue to defend its citizens against such threats, as evident by its successful interception of incoming missiles.
Recall that at around midnight yesterday, the Houthis launched another missile towards the area, triggering alerts in several settlements near the port. Approximately 40 minutes later, the IDF spokesperson announced that the missile had been intercepted by the Air Force, and a rocket fragment fell within Eilat city limits.
Later, at 17:32, an alarm was heard at Metzpe Shalem near the Dead Sea due to a missile infiltration, which continued into the country and activated alerts in Judean settlements including Ma’ale Rehavam, Kfar Eldad, Nokdim, Tekoa, Sde Bar, Efrat, Neve Daniel, and Beitar Illit. The incident ended after about half an hour.
Following Israel’s dramatic strike in Qatar, which successfully eliminated senior Hamas terrorists, concerns have surged within Iran over the safety of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The Arab media reports that officials are urging Khamenei to seek cover in a bunker, apprehensive that Israel might launch a targeted operation against him and other high-ranking officials in the regime.
Sparked by the reality that nowhere in the world is off-limits to Israel’s reach, this heightened fear in Iran is evidence of Israel’s strategic prowess and its unyielding dedication to defending its citizens. The anxiety in Iran underscores that actions supporting terrorism cannot be conducted with impunity, a principle that Israel staunchly upholds in its pursuit of peace and security.
This recent development arrives shortly after an encounter between the Iranian foreign minister and some of the high-ranking officials whose lives were claimed in the Israeli operation. And indeed, Khamenei has reportedly taken the advice of his officials and retreated underground, recognizing the intensified environment and potential threat to his security. As a proud Jew and Zionist, this news reinterpretation reflects the collective strength of Israel as its actions continue to reverberate around the globe, serving as a staunch warning towards those who would undermine peace and stability.
