– Senior Israeli Pilot Dies in Plane Crash in Germany:

In a tragic incident, 71-year old Israeli pilot, Israel Komt, was killed in Germany when his ultralight Shark 600 aircraft crashed near the Etten airfield near Oldenburg. Komt was enroute to Switzerland, where he was residing. The local German authorities stated that the exact cause of the crash is being investigated, with a particular focus on the aircraft’s advanced safety system which was not activated during the crash.

– Ceasefire Effectively Ends War with Iran, Says Trump Administration:

According to a senior official in the Trump administration, the war with Iran effectively came to an end in early April due to a ceasefire. Such a conclusion allows the U.S. government to bypass the official approval from Congress required for military action exceeding 60 days. The claim supports Defense Secretary Pete Hagesth’s Senate testimony that the ceasefire paused the war.

– Activists Repatriated from Israel to Greece:

Around 175 activists were reportedly transported from an Israeli vessel to the Greek coast, causing significant controversy. The activists were taken to an undisclosed location on Crete under heavy guard. Participants have criticised the Greek government for its handling of the situation, sparking protests and hunger strikes on the island. The Greek Foreign Ministry is in active discussions with Israel regarding safe repatriation of the activists.

– Netanyahu Requests Trump to Limit Diplomatic Negotiations with Lebanon:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has appealed to U.S. President Donald Trump to limit diplomatic negotiations with Lebanon to a two-week period. Netanyahu’s decision comes in the aftermath of Trump’s rejection of Iranian ceasefire proposals and hints at the deteriorating relationship between Israel and Lebanon due to frequent Hezbollah terror attacks.

– Major Weapons Deal Approved between U.S, Israel and Qatar:

The U.S State Department has given the go ahead for a considerable weapons deal with Israel and Qatar. The deal, worth an estimated $992.4 million each, will see the exchange of 10,000 APKWS advanced weapon systems and accompanying equipment manufactured by British defense company BAE Systems. Additionally, a separate deal worth $4.01 billion has been approved for the sale of Patriot missiles to Qatar.

– Israel Dispatches Advanced Laser Weapons to UAE:

In a significant defense move, Israel has dispatched advanced laser weapon systems to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to safeguard it against potential Iranian missile attacks. Notable among the dispatched systems is a lightweight tracking system, “Spectro”, which aids in the detection of incoming missiles, and the Israeli Defense’s laser-generated system “Light Blade”. This move follows reports that Israel also sent the “Iron Dome” system to the UAE.
